In the event that there are conditions on Denman Island that affect public safety, the DIVFD has the ability to send notifications by email to those residents who request this service. This Public Notification System is used only for public safety reasons, such as brush fires, emergency road closures, extreme weather, tsunami alerts, etc..

This system will never be used for promotional purposes, and your email address will never be shared with or sold to any other organization or individual. It will not be visible to other recipients of this system. You can cancel the service at any time.

The Fire Department will, of course, use every reasonable means at its disposal to notify residents of public safety concerns. This email system is just one such method of disseminating information.
